In this preliminary Project, we will clarify and set up the collaboration with possible business partners, and also look into the best possible ways of fulfilling the innovation businesswise. The aim is to create a strategy for realizing the innovation.
Our invention will revolutionize energy production on offshore oil platforms by replacing the traditional choke valve with our choke turbine for a conversion of energy into electricity. A utilization is to produce energy subsea to provide power to subsea instrumentation and functions used for increased oil
recovery on installation with power shortage.
The primary objective of the R&D project is to develop a 5.000 psi rated prototype solution that is qualification tested and to use a successful result to get a pilot project, a first step towards commercialization. The secondary objective of the project is to investigate the factors that affect the optimum performance with respect to efficiency and resistance to long term wear.
